Retrofit – sustainable and future-proof
Due to a defect in the existing control system of a high-bay warehouse, we decided, after joint consultation with our customer, to use a high-performance and communication-capable control platform: ctrlX CORE. With the scalable industrial control system from Bosch Rexroth and the know-how of our control experts, the replacement could be carried out in the shortest possible time and highly efficiently.
The CPU ctrlX CORE including an interface module was used. For the communication between the control and the periphery the automation bus EtherCAT master was used. For programming the development environment CODESYS was implemented. In this project not yet realized, but in already planned projects, we will control complete plants, HMI panels and servo drives with ctrlX CORE.
The all-in-one solution: ctrlX CORE
With its open and flexible architecture, the ctrlX CORE industrial controller meets the current and future requirements of the factory of the future. In addition to EtherCAT, the control hardware supports many other common automation protocols. The ctrlX Device Portal enables remote access to the controllers as well as their easy management and updating.
In networked environments, the Ethernet interface handles data-intensive information exchange with higher-level IT systems, HMI devices, and cloud-based applications. The controller supports more than 30 IT and PLC IoT standards such as OPC UA as server and client as well as the widely used MQTT protocol.
