As a medium-sized company, we have been committed to sustainability since our founding in 2000. We recognize our responsibility toward the environment, people, and future generations. Our vision is to be a company that acts sustainably in ecological, social, and economic terms while making a positive contribution to society.

For us, sustainability means minimizing the negative environmental impact of our activities. We strive to use resources efficiently and reduce energy consumption. We promote the use of renewable energy, waste prevention, and recycling. In cooperation with the city of Stolberg, we are currently developing an appealing concept to encourage our employees to use public transportation.
Furthermore, we see sustainability as a social responsibility. We advocate for fair working conditions and respect the rights of our employees. We place great value on equality, diversity, and a positive work environment. We support local communities and promote social projects.
Our understanding of sustainability also includes economic aspects. We strive for long-term, profitable growth based on a solid economic foundation. We ensure that our business practices are transparent and ethical and that we treat our customers fairly.
For us, sustainability is not just a statement but a guiding principle for our daily actions. We acknowledge that achieving full sustainability is an ongoing journey that we want to embark on together with our employees, customers, and partners. We are open to new ideas, innovations, and collaborations to further strengthen our commitment to sustainability.

The importance of sustainability for QA
Regular internal team meetings and training sessions ensure continuous knowledge transfer at the highest expert level. Mutual support, appreciation, and respect strengthen us as a team and reinforce our shared values. First-class internal sports and health programs, along with a reliable company pension plan, contribute to a healthy company culture.
With our PV system featuring 55 photovoltaic modules, we can generate our own energy and use it most effectively when needed. Most of our company vehicles are electric or hybrid cars, which we charge in our underground parking garage using our self-produced solar power. We also provide this advanced charging infrastructure to our visitors. The additional electricity we purchase comes from our regional provider’s 100% green energy tariff. We minimize our internal paper and resource consumption through a high degree of digitalization.
Our company bike leasing program, which has been widely adopted by our employees, allows many colleagues to commute by bicycle instead of by car. This not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also promotes their health.

For our customers, we always use the latest and most efficient technologies to ensure energy efficiency and longevity. How we aim to live sustainability in the future
Our sustainability strategy for the coming years is currently being developed. We align our efforts with national and international goals and criteria within the European Union. We are committed to the EU ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals of the European Commission and aim to integrate them across the entire company.
Although Quality Automation GmbH already holds an independent sustainability certification, we continuously strive to improve our rating.
Since only measurable goals hold lasting value, we are developing a monitoring and energy management system to define our sustainability objectives and document our progress over the long term. This system will track consumption, resources, and balances, evaluating them in terms of sustainability. Our goal is to determine our own CO2 balance across the entire value chain and implement measures to reduce emissions in the short and medium term while aiming for their complete elimination in the long run.
When selecting and using hardware and software components for our customers, we will place greater emphasis on their carbon footprint and transparently communicate this information in our offers.
For our customers, we will expand our consulting services in energy management and savings. In the near future, we aim to not only be a technical partner but also provide advisory services in the field of sustainability.
