SIMATIC S7 TIA-Service Training 2

Description/Learning target:

This TIA-course concentrates in particular on hard- and software failures and its troubleshooting. In that context the fundamental handling of operating and supervising systems, drive components and the foundations of standard communication via MPI and PROFIBUS DP is explained. The systematic fault finding shortens the non-operating periods of the machine/plant. All topics are made clear by practical training with a model consisting of an automation system S7-300, decentralized bus ET200S, Touch Panel TP 170B, drive MM420 and a conveyor model. After the course a computer assisted learning environment in the internet with WBT "SIMATIC ProTool/Pro" is activated.

Learning targets / content:

  • Recognition and avoidance of fundamental hardware failures
  • Fields of application of different module types (FC, FB, OB, DB)
  • Principles of analog value handling
  • Use of STEP 7-software for failure finding and avoidance
  • Recognition and avoidance of software failures that lead to a CPU-Stop
  • Recognition and avoidance of logical software failures like manifold assignment
  • Carrying-out of failure finding in the MPI-network and connection of slaves at the Profibus DP
  • Change TP170B
  • Change of parameters of the MM420
