A large attendance of students of the FH Aachen could gain insight in the work of Quality Automation on 24th April, 2013. Various projects of the core capabilities of the QA team brought an interesting and entertaining afternoon.

Jochen Okon presents the use of simulation technology in automation.

In addition to examples of robotics , constructions simulation and visual product-and process control the realistic presentation of the projects was appreciated by the students. The immediate discussion with the staff members of the individual special fields provided experiences and information first-hand.

Within the scope of the FH scholarship program a group of scholarship holders will attend the company Quality Automation in Stolberg on 24th April 2013. Twenty students of all faculties will experience here how industrial automation projects are realized form the first step of planning to the complete integration. They are accompanied by Prof. Elmar Engels, expert at the FH Aachen in the field of automation technology.

Quality Automation GmbH enables a student of the study program electrical engineering with special field automation technology already for the second time to pass the studies in a more concentrated and efficient way. In addition to the financial support the contact to the company is of major importance for the students: study works, practical experience and last but not least long time practical experience of the employers are a big enrichment for the young talents.

Every year the FH Aachen awards scholarships to students coming to 300 Euro a month.
One half will be sponsored by NRW and the federation the other by sponsors of the economy. Next to financial support the sponsors offer practical trainings and possibilities for final projects to the scholarship holders.

The scholarship program is kept alive by the support of sponsors. Owing to the following enterprises and institutions the university could offer 64 scholarships in winter semester 2012/2013:

In 2011 the company Quality Automation GmbH supported the scholarship program of the FH Aachen for the first time. Within the scope of a so-called one year scholarship QA advances the student Barbara Voget from the faculty electrical engineering and information engineering. Mr. Heinz Monnartz, Managing Director of Quality Automation GmbH, had the possibility to hand over the scholarship to Ms. Voget on 2nd December 2011 in the frame of a ceremonial act.

At this opportunity the further organization of the scholarship could be discussed with the scholarship holder. A first exchange of information was done when Ms. Voget visited the company QA in January 2012.

The Quality Automation team again participated in the Dragon Boat Race on the Rursee, Eifel. The Quality-Dragons could improve their performance of last year and achieve the sixth position of 18 participating teams proudly. Even the youngest team member, Nick Biedermann, 5 months old, joined the event.

In 2010 two anniversaries for 10-years employment could be celebrated. Wolfgang Felser first employee at QA and Christof Lutterbach were decorated at this year´s Christmas Party. We hope that they will stay even longer and would like to say thank you for their outstanding performance.

This year the team Quality-Dragons attended the Dragon Boat Race on the Rursee together with friends and relatives.
It becomes noticeable during the race that we set a special focus on fighting spirit and teamwork in our company. Right from the first run it becomes obvious that we are all sitting in the same boat. With the effort of muscularity the Quality Dragons row into the second competition race. At the end the team can proudly record the 8th position of 22 competition teams.

We have much fun at that day and we were again confirmed that one can achieve a lot with team spirit and solidarity. We are looking forward to the next challenge.

The forum “Effects of the new machine guideline” will take place in our training rooms in Stolberg on August 27th, 2009, starting from 14.30 o’clock.
The referees of this event, which is free of charge, are Michael Fritz and Heinz Monnartz from Quality Automation as well as Reiner Süselbeck, Stefan Knauf and Jörg Springsguth from Mitsubishi Electric.

Essentially they are talking about the following chief contents:

  • Machine guideline — background and legal position, risk analysis
  • Practical conversion of the machine guideline

If you want to participate in our event, so would you be so kind as to send us an e‑mail to gro@quality-automation.de until August 21st, 2009.
It would give us a great pleasure to welcome you here in Stolberg.
